Welcome back, Century Jaguars! I hope the first couple weeks of school have been good. A special welcome to all the new Freshman.

High school is very different from Middle school, and I hope you’re all working hard and enjoying all the activities you participate in now.

“I have a on and off feeling towards [being in high school], “ stated Century High School Freshman Angelo Andal Riley. “I feel as if I’m an outsider, and sometimes I’m very outgoing.”

One of the ways you can be outgoing is by supporting our sports teams or by choosing to participate in a club or sport. Go watch the football or volleyball games, and cheer on the cross country runners at their meets. Always make sure you’re involved in Century’s activities.

It is important to get your mind off of studies for a while and go to sport events. Go out with friends so you aren't constantly stressing out over grades.

Olivia Kazlauskis Century High School Freshman said “High school has been a great experience for me so far, it has been stressful but it’s still good.”

High School can be stressful, but you need to find the good in it and always do your best. Studying often is important, so that you always do good on tests. All the hard work you put into high school now will help you get into an amazing college and future career.

Additionally, ask teachers for help to ease your stress. They're here for us, and your school year can go so much smoother if you ask for help when you need it.

Focus on your long term goals, so you don't stress too much about one assignment or test.

High School is to help us learn and make us better, it will help us in the future and help us develop closer relationships. Enjoy High School no matter how hard it may be.
